This 15 year old was killed in a car accident on March 2nd. I had just

photographed her and her younger sisters in January. I was able to give

her parents the images and a full copyright privileges. It is times like

these when I am proud and thankful to be a professional photographer.

Thanks Tony, Florina and Tammy for commenting. Last week was a hard week and sent a reality shock through me that in a split second a person's life can be devastated. I wish I could do more for this family who have been regular customers of mine since I started my business.

This is why I never delete even the not so perfect images. I keep them all just in case. You never know when you will be able to give such a special gift. Sad story. Thank God you had just done the shoot. They will trreasure those images and memories forever.

This is one of those times you feel the fragile nature of life all to well. She was so beautiful and to young to miss out on the rest this life has to offer.

(( I always keep all the shots I take at least to learn from my mistakes. I had something like this happen last year and to be perfectly honest it broke my heart. I had taken family photo's of my friends family in September 2008. The shot title is

" Adorable " in my folder "Learning Portraits September, October, & November 2008" Even before losing Landon it had been one of my favorite Baby shots. Then in the begining of Feb. & March 2009 we kept making plans to do another shoot with her 4 kids. We had issues with timeing, sick kids, even the weather was being a pain. I got the phone call from her sister that her youngest Landon had passed. I gave her a cd of all the shots. I don't think we know how deep photography touches people ))

I feel honored that people trust us to capture moments in their lives.

Sincerly,

Shenandoah
