tammysphotos 0 Posted March 6, 2009 Wow! Their eyes are so intense! Are they playing or fighting? Colors & clarity are amazing, Sky! Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 7, 2009 Thank you, Tammy. No full blown fighting here just a mild confirmation of dominence. (The smaller antlers defer to the larger... eventually.) Always enjoyable to watch nature. ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 8, 2009 Great capture! I like the way the clouds add to it, too. How close were you? Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 9, 2009 Hello Kim! Thanks. I was in the trees within 30/40 yds. I eased into the prairie grass and tried to use a large rock for cover but they decided they'd prefer I didn't get any closer. I sat on the rock and watched them amble away. Would like to have a week to just sit in the mountains... (Well, more but a week would be great!) ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 11, 2009 We just got back from a week at a ranch in Texas around Seymour, and it was great! Didn't see any elk, but I love those cardinals and turtles that we don't have up here. Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 11, 2009 You should of hollered, Kim. Spring is steamrolling in. ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 20, 2009 Well if I'd had any idea you were less than 100 miles away, I might have hollered! I just looked you up and looked up where your town is....sheeeesh. Oh, and your "other" name, too....hmmm, might be hard to think of you as anything except Sky... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 21, 2009 Thought you might like to know, on Ken Dennis's "Floating House" photo he just posted that he had a stroke in February and is finally recovering... Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Thank you for the update, Kim. I was unaware about Ken. I'll have to give him a holler. Always, ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 25, 2009 I see Ken visited you on Evergreen. I hope we see more of him now. Bob's sister in Houston said it's in the high 80's there. Saturday it was 70 here, which is really unusual for march...and then yesterday at the cabin it was a blizzard and 24 degrees (the cabin's only 2000 ft. higher than town)...spring is here and I must go chase it with camera! I saw 3 bull elk when I was hiking Sunday, but my shots weren't good enough to post. Wish I would have had the long lens on:~) Link to comment
