Ruffed Grouse

Great shot, what an interesting grouse, never come across one of these before. Where abouts was it taken?

Martyn, thanks for your comments. The grouse was in a small nature reserve in Ottawa west (Ontario). It was on a skii trail, eating food from a broken bird feeder. Apparently it was quite used to human company in this protected area. Usually they are really shy birds, this was the first time I got close and I was able to capture 110 photographs. Regards, Tony
