Great image that fascinates and enthralls. I find the position of the hands interesting and that is one of the first things that grabbed my attention. They seem to be paying reverence and the position of the heads suggest humbling respect. I also notice how the light seems to emanate from below.

One has the feeling of slow motion. Are they moving backwards? I wonder.

This photo has a rare quality; it is disturbing by composition and at the same time reasuring on the overall effect.

Pnina,

Thank you very much for your visit and comment. I agree with you.

It was a pleasure to look at your pictures.

I am not sure why but I really like this one. It is truly remarkable.

Pnina, I looked at all the images in your Veil series, this one is my favorite. It is not only breathtaking it seems to be full of symbolism. To me, it has a feeling of growth or emergence. Emergence from a dark, shadowy place. Sleepers who are awakening from a dream, enslaved escaping, prisoners finding freedom, cyborgs discovering they have souls; these soft, blurred human forms, eyes closed, heads down, seem to become more clearly defined as they reach through the darkness of the veil. There is one reaching arm and hand that is more illuminated than the others, another hand seems to be clawing. This is very unusual, compelling, and dramatic. It is also fresh and creative. Wonderful work!

All the best,

Linda

This is a very nice and so well worded. I appreciate so much your telling me in details your feelings. In September there will be a very interesting and important exhibition of dance photography, celebrating 20 years history of the well known dance center ,with an auction of the photos at the end. Two of my photos will be part of this event. This is such a nice commentary, I'm very grateful.

A late thanks to Lannie and Daniel as well.
