Can't tell you why, but it's a great picture for me.

Can you provide the details on how you made this wonderful image.

I printed it like normal, however instead of submerging and agitating the photo in the developer, I took a paintbrush and painted on the developer.

This looks like something that was dragged out of a garbage can and which somebody is attempting to pass off as art. It is IMO without any redeeming artistic or social value.

My intention in this piece was the idea in representing voices that are often suppressed by society's views... i hope that the caption helps clear up the direction at which my piece was driven towards so I can get more constructive criticism.

I'm wondering why somebody gave a 2/2 rating on this image. Could that person give more constructive and technical comments on why it only worth a 2/2?? Technique wise, I think this is quite unique although I've seen similar technique like this being used before. But so far such post-processing I've seen were done digitally. I'll definitely give 8/8 (even better than 7/7!!) if this was really done by the trick during the processing of the photo paper as Chi claims.

 

Chi is right. You need a title for your image. I'm not really good at this. The mood of this image is quite negative. May be I'd give an abstract title like "Frustration" and let the viewers get their own perception.

This is a superb photo. Can't believe someone gave it a 2/2. Oh well, there's no accounting for taste. Some people just don't like to be challenged by art in any way.
