anuarpatjane 0 Posted March 16, 2009 Great work my friend. And if he could speak english he would say: we are very different, we don´t nuke our neighbors or imprision other species. Best regards! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 30, 2009 Elton John has a song on one of his first albums...is just titled EltonJohn (Your Song, ...many very beautiful lyrics...as Bernie Taupin was totally involved in it's conception...first time a mooge synthesizer was ever used.....) back to your Photo....one of his songs that I have loved since that time (gentile age of 15, was 'The Cage' whether he was referring to his sexuality (which I've always thought there may be reference to, as at that time...not much was said in this area).....but if you get a chance...that is if you've never heard the lyrics...check them out on the internet...THE CAGE -"have you ever lived in a cage, where you live to be whipped and be tamed,"(I'm going to look them up myself....have the CD, many beautiful meaningful lyrics...) Love this Photo....no we are not so different....and for some....the question you 'pose' is all too poignant....the 'cages' and the 'caged' behind closed doors...are unimaginable....prisoners existing perhaps next door, across the street, where "lacey curtanis hang....and Mommy walks the children to school".....but when 'daddy' comes home...the "Paddlock" that is her life is quickly snapped into place....and once again she becomes the animal clinging to her prison bars....fighting for breath...terrified to flee and experience 'freedom'... cries quitely as to not 'wake the children'....but the 'scars' have been dug deeply into her Soul....Man's Inhumanity to Man....it will never end....thankyou for this photo Art...it speakes of the unspeakable...and I haven't even started on the 'animal/human slant'...congrats--you do not live on the surface....you live where there is meaning, between "Light and Darkness'......and you seem to know there is too much 'Darkness'...one doesn't "collect" it as a souvenier or for it's monetary value....some burdens cannot be lifted....no matter how many years you put inbetween; walls built, can never be high enough.......sincerely, Gail Link to comment
