niranjn 0 Posted November 26, 2002 Jeroen, Interesting choice of composition that leaves you with the beginnings of the Fibonacci series (from bottom to top): 1, 1, 2, 3. Hmm... Nice pattern and two-color scheme. Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted January 6, 2003 Interesting patterns formed. I wish it was a bit brighter, or more shiny. Link to comment
edlark 0 Posted May 14, 2003 Excellent composition and transformation of an "ugly" everyday scene. The subject is not immediately recognizeable, which allows for a moments wandering to establish the possibilites. The bands of alternating white/yellow establish a very graphic, abstract feel to the overall image as well. The subject itself comes across in prolonged viewing as hive-like - especially, perhaps, because of the honey-yellow color of the wrap. An image that can seem both playful and somewhat sinister. seven 0 Posted June 15, 2003 Good grab, Opa. The building sort of tones itself, near mono with yellow thrown in in certain tone zones. You did well to keep the perspective, and convey a sense of abstraction at first - your title probably helps us make up our minds about the image sooner than if it carried a looser handle. I would not want it lighter; in fact - if anything - I would apply a 'multiply' (20%) or 'linear burn' (6-8%) layer for a touch more contrast. But I see no reason to change a thing. Link to comment
