the pov made this composition really interesting but the most appealing thing here is the light, the punctual sources of light work very well imho as they create mysterious mood of the place and lead the viewer's eyes to discover all nooks and crannies and the secrets of the streets. The photo taken in rather difficult light conditions but nothing has got out of control. Nice work, thank you for sharing, regards -wm

I appreciate Wieslaw for defining this so well. I would add that, taken from this vantage point, one gets the feel of a slower and calmer pace. It's as if these figures are out for an evening stroll rather than rushing hurridly. Wonderful b&w street shot.

Good night shot , Works perfectly in b&w . I would take the frame a bit lower so one can see the corner in the middle

Came over to your photos after you commented on my photo "Saunter". I wanted to see what sort of street photography you do...am I glad I did that! There is a lot to learn from your photos...the composition, the choice of subjects and the like. I love this photo for it's angle of view and the play of light and shade. And of course, it's totally suited for b/w. Regards.

I like this biatmospheric photo. I like that you cut this photo in center making two stories. I suppose that if the corner wasn't cut you will won a lot ... I would like to see that bike for example.

Despite my bias towards BW AND night shots, I find this one very interesting and extremely well composed. There are photographs that tell a story or suggest one for the observer to project upon it. This may very well be one of the latter. However, in my personal opinion, it is neither. Rather, it is a superb photograph, for photography's sake. A very successful exercise in capturing light, perspective and other elements, all with exceptional sharpness, making it a very appealing image. Congratulations. By the way, you have a very impressive portfolio, which makes it hard for me to post comments like this in every one of th many that you have. Nonetheless, consider them applicable whenever you see a "like" from me, unless your image invites me and draws me in to participate with it. Bravo. DG
