Is that the sun or is that flare? Looks like the sun. Ver Nice choice of framing. Don't know if I can say anything to make most of your shots better I thin they are great. Thanks for all your comments on my images on the other critique site. I've learned a lot.

Tom, it's the sun. It's pretty close in tonal value to the sky -- I've also been asked before if it is the moon.

 

This photo never goes over as well with others as it does with me. I really like it, more than most others of mine from the Greek islands, but the reaction from others is definitely "ho hum." Probably, it's the memory associated with the photo that I see when I look at it. ;-)

Funny. I dig this shot. More than your others. I feel that your entire portfolio eludes technical brilliance, but I side with you and do feel the high level of emotion and moodiness in this shot. Personally, of all your great photos, I'd put this particular one on my wall. Upon seeing your other work, the viewer just stops in his tracks and exclaims, "Whoa!" and then maybe moves on, but this is the kind of shot where you can sit down, lean back, stare at it, get lost in the wiew of the image, and stare at it some more.
