davidroossien 0 Posted February 16, 2009 Sol Duc is a great place! Beautiful photo with a real sense of place. The lack of saturation has me wondering if you really used Velvia 100. I wish I could get Velvia 100 to look this natural. Link to comment
glenn mellen 0 Posted February 16, 2009 David, For sure this was Velvia (I include film type info in my personal file names). However, I have a tendency to tone down saturation levels somewhat when using Velvia in the post-processing stage. Light conditions were rather poor and Velvia probably wasn't the best choice, but it's what was loaded in the camera. I also shoot Astia and Provia, and given the opportunity again I most likely would've reached for Provia for these conditions (and probably not have the deep black shadows under the rocks and bridge).
