ken_wright2 0 Posted November 18, 2002 This is a shot I took of a group of young women in basic training who are seeing themselves for the first time with their faces painted with camoflauge. I think it's one of the more honest moments I captured in my career as a photojournailst. Everyone was so curious, and they all had the same reaction. I imagained that only a few weeks earlier they could have been holding a similar mirror as they put on make-up. This moment, I think, is of a transition that all soldiers make, but it is especially interseting to me because they are women. Link to comment
