I like the flower but I'm not sure about the background colour - worse still - I don't know what colour to suggest would be best, a lot of good I am then! regards

Pamela, with a green pastel pencil you have drawn a beautiful flower on the white paper. I like all, background included. I am longing for seeing it full bloomed.

carefully composed, fitting title and very appealing aesthetic. keep at those flowers.... (not sure about the border, too distracting)

This pic is not the one I prefer on your prtfolio, but I really appreciate the composition and colours of your subjet. You could/should try a black background. Best regards and keep shooting ! Rolph ;)

Thanks to all of you for your comments, I really do appreciate the critiques; good or bad as I am learning.

This is a bit different than what I normally post in the flower category. Thought I might try something besides a black background so I tried a light tonal look. I am growing these tulips and really did wait for this one to be born.

Warm regards, Pamela

I really like the fact that you have produced a beautiful image of a flower that has not yet reached its peak. Tulips have such a short blooming period, it is nice to appreciate their beauty in all stages. The tones of this image are lovely and I like the background colour as I think it supports the overall impression of 'new birth'.
