frankl 6 Posted May 16, 2001 very nice - the fog is beautiful. I wish there was some context here so we knew what we were looking at though. keep up the good work Link to comment
brad_martin 0 Posted May 20, 2001 Frank, the lack of context is great, it makes the shot. This is a wonderful. Of course I am drunk as a skunk while typing this so maybe you're right. Link to comment
helen_laird 0 Posted May 23, 2001 Great! I'm not usually a member of the crop squad, but it'd also look pretty stunning if you cropped the road off the bottom. Just a suggestion. Link to comment
frank uhlig 0 Posted May 25, 2001 I have found over the years that a diagonal that goes into the edge of a picture, rather than through the corner (or nearly so), is not as satisfying as one that does. I wish there was an alternate take with the left of the bridge disappearing somewhere near/touching the left top frame corner, and consequently with a bit less of the right "side of the road".[Lift the camera up a bit ...] Maybe that is what the previous comments were all about. Just a hunch. Link to comment
alex_hawley 0 Posted June 3, 2001 Absolutely superb. Creative photography doesn't get any better than this. Link to comment
r_w 0 Posted June 28, 2001 Wonderful photograph. I agree with the idea of cropping out the road from the bottom, but this would really be a personal decision. If you like it the way it is, go with it. Link to comment

darragh 0 Posted August 15, 2001 oooh what a beautiful image, perfect composition and i'd swear it was shot in black & white! It gives a great feeling of mystery with everything disappearing into the mist. hmmm, i wonder did the word "mystery" and "mist" come from the same roots .... Link to comment
hello 0 Posted August 27, 2001 Simply Wonderful! Although personally I favour surrealistic shot more, I must really admit that this is done (i like to use "paint" too) aestatically as well as carefulness shown in the composition. Somewhat bringing the viewer into another realm, scene of pureness and serenity. Some might not agree, but I think the road with the "strips" of fence did well in leading the view toward the far end which gently turn misty. It also act as contrast and give scale, dimension to the picture itself. The pillars supporting the bridge is so "elegant", futuristic kind of curve rather than the usual kind we seen in most bridges. Without careful inspection (cropping out temporary with hands), the area beneath the bridge and above the road in the picture, gives the most impact. Why? Can't you feel the wave of the water than is moving in between the static of the entire picture. Look again, slight further from the picture ... Overall, it give people kind of serenity and inspiration in term of simplicity. I would like to build this kind of structure into my home if I ever had the chance. This is the kind where you could enlarge 8x10 and hang up wall along the corridor and you'll never get tired of. If you have a simple, bright and clean home, use a black border for the frame, you will love it. Nuno done a great job. Do you capture that in that moment or because you live nearby so you could wait for the mist ? mind to share with us? Felix Link to comment
