I like the composition very much in this one and in another one in this folder. This one is not as spectacular as the other one, but everything is in due place. The possible improvement would be the way you converted this to a difital file. Not sure how you scanned and compressed, but some crisp as been lost. Maybe it was unavoidable, maybe not. I can't tell. But I may suggest you go to ne of Tony Dummett's latest uploads, the man kissing the girl at the back of a crowd (panoramic format) and read there the precious information Tony was kind enough to leave for us. I've tried his trick, which I was totally unaweare about and it really does wonders - the radius and amount sharpening especially. Try it on this, and I bet you will see what I mean. Let me know what's the outcome, I'm interested... Besides this, and back to your shot, a bit more sun in the foreground would have been good imo. Regards.

This is a fantastic shot. The composition, color, and lighting are supurb !!!

Nice job Carl. I really enjoy this photo and probably think that it is better than the horizotal format -- but I'm a sucker for red leaves on trees, and this shot hides too much of the tree on the left. I have to go with the horizontal version for color, and this version for composition. Great grab.

I like this shot more than any other in this folder.

This one seems to bring the mill house closer. I prefer this one, but it is a difficult decision. Very nice scene, well shot.
