I much prefer the vertical one. I think the composition is better. Both are nice photos though.

Beautiful. One way I judge a photo is to ask, "Would I hang this in my home?". This one ... definitely!

Tough call Carl - both are quite beautiful and reflect the feeling and colour of the season. I prefer this exposure, a little lighter, but the vertical is for me a stronger composition.However, more white from the stream here which contrasts well against the warmer colours.Though this isn't a competition, how about we call this a draw!

very good pictures on the left and right, but here my interest is divided.

I have another one which is nearly identical but omits the space to the left of the double trunks. That and a brighter roof keeps your eye in the middle and intergates the image, although the difference is quite subtle.
