My daffodils looked very cheerful on the kitchen windowsill with the sun shining through, but not bright enough to handhold the camera and get a sharp photograph. So this was a compromise. My 'technique' was simply to use a longish shutterspeed- 1/13th at 300mm (small-ish aperture helped achieve this), and then panned upwards following the vertical centre leaf. Link to comment
