Would it be better to use Yellow Tulips? Should te background be neon

magenta instead of black?

I like the punch that red on black gives you.

punchy colours indeed, and the translucency too! i'm wondering what this would look like with just a tiny bit of fill up front, perhaps a lightsource just a wee bit less direct, ie, wee bit more diffuse so it doesn't burn out the petal edges.
