I was driving in Illinois near Urbana-Champaign in fall 2005. I drove into this farm

and found a bunch of very colorful pumpkins. Without thinking much I took this

picture.

One month later, I read something in the news that astonished me. It was reported

that a farm in Rockford, IL had succeeded for the first time in growing white

pumpkins (note: normal pumpkins can be white when they are small, but they turn

orange when they become large), and it was a very hot item for Halloween. I believe

this farm where I took the picture was a branch of the farm in Rockford.

Thank you for viewing.

I really like your composition. This is a very balance image, with great colors, great atmosphere and very well use of the subjects.... I really like it... Guillermo

Being from Indiana, this is a scene I'm familiar with......except for the white pumpkins, of course. Interesting story about them. This image works on many levels, and I love the way the pumpkins create a diagonal line toward the back of the image. Good colors and balance too. Bravo!

A nice view... but cropping which focuses on pumpkins would be better.. i.e crop upper part and keep left and right wider..(my opinion, of course).. welldone... congrats... OB
