Very interesting choice to go vertical with your pan. I had to rotate my compter screen to fit it all in one shot. For those who have to scroll up and down, I'm sure they miss the whole effect... Anyway - For me, your strip is a little too narrow. I would like to see it wider to get more of the surrounding scenery. At very least to include more of the surrounds to the right. To me, it just feels cut off. To see the both banks in the creek bends I think would help give it a less piecey feel. The houses on the hillside seem out of place. Beautiful sky, and great colors throughout. Excellent contrast.

This 'feels' more like a crop from a photo than a 'real' vertical panorama. There's very little interesting going on in the strip we see.

Thanks for the Comments, I appreciate your honest comments. There really isn't a real subject, but it isn't a crop. Could you point me to what a 'real' vertical pano is.

A real vertical pano follows the same rules as a horizontal (well....as any photo for that matter): you should not have the feeling that you're looking at an arbitrarily chosen part (or slice, in case of pano's) of landscape, but at a self-contained composition. To be honest I think in landscape a vertical pano has not so much use, since landscape is mostly a horizontal 'thing'- hence the name horizon. I've only seen a few convincing vertical landscape pano's. I can imagine a succesful vertical pano with trees, for instance.
