Lone Sentinel

Another example of the ancient trees in the high mountains of Great

Basin NP. This tree could be a brother to the famed "Prometheus Tree"

that was accidentally cut down in the early 1960's. It was the oldest

livng tree in the world--- over 4700 years old.

I like your low-angle shot -- it really puts the emphasis on the tree when it projects into the sky. Two suggestions: crop a bit on the right to remove the intruding branches, and the light looks a little flat (HDR, perhaps?) -- maybe a bit more contrast.

I like the way that this turned out. The different colors and the sharp details.The clouds in the background really add to this. this one is going in my favorites.
