mg 0 Posted November 13, 2002 This is really beaitifully lit. Prefect light, I would say - one of your best in that sense. The model is extremely beautiful as well, and I love her pose and gaze at the camera. Well done.If I may suggest something, a very minor improvement could be to darken a bit the "cloud" at the bottom left. I wish the edge of her podium would not appear so strongly due to the high contrast. Darkening this "cloud" will cut down emphasis in that area in my opinion. All else is really splenid. Regards. mircea_strugaru 0 Posted November 14, 2002 Inspired by your amazing work, I am trying now your technique. Far from hoping to get images as beautiful as yours, I want for the beginning to get the basic technique right. I have read your 'tutorial' on your site, but I still miss some information: first, how is your light brush projecting the light -- how wide is the spot at 50cm for example? second, what were the painting steps you have followed for this image? Any comments from you on this topic would be greatly appreciated, not only by me, but by all of us who enjoy your work soo much.... Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted November 15, 2002 I had to view this one in its largest format. The photograph as well as the model are simply beautiful. Your photographic styling is classy and impressive. The ring hanging from her nose is hideous and annoying. I though it was a flaw on the image until I went in for the larger view. My eye just keeps traveling to the distracting light reflection off her nose. Link to comment
j_rg_gr_ndler 0 Posted November 15, 2002 the ring...yes - I thought the same..., but it is a portrait of HER. The ring IS a part of her, so... Link to comment
rick vincent 1 Posted November 16, 2002 Then you have done right by HER. I still think it is a fine photograph. Link to comment

bradkim 8 Posted December 3, 2002 Another splendid job! Most people on this photonet community know your fine works, Jorg. They also know that almost all of your works portray very classical mood and remind viewers of paintings of centuries ago. When I look at your images very close, though, I sometimes find something that hint your works are the images of 21st century, not of 18th or 19th century. The ring hanging from the nose in this image is an example of those something. It hints that this image is a portrait of a young, beautiful, 21st century girl, and that it was made by a fine photographer/artist of 21st century. To some viewers it could be a distraction, but to me, it is fine as long as it does not destroy the overall mood of the image. Again, this is a gorgeous image. Link to comment
g1 0 Posted December 11, 2002 Stunning work as always Jorg. You have modelled the light around the girl very well indeed. Her skin looks like satin. How long was this exposure?ps I am enjoying the AAPPL book, and highly recommend it to other fans of Jorg's work Link to comment
david_montroy 0 Posted May 6, 2003 Wonderful!. I also agree with the above comment which refers to Boris Vallejo pictures. Perfect IMO. Link to comment
