jaime_hill 0 Posted January 27, 2009 I snapped this picture of my daughter after she got in trouble. My opinion is I should have her more to the right to include her feet in the picture (the moment was fleeting). I am interested in honest critiques... Link to comment

fotaren 0 Posted January 27, 2009 You are so right. You could put her a little more to the right but the picture is so good so it doesn´t matter. You don´t always have the time to think. Ola Link to comment
richard_cox2 0 Posted January 27, 2009 The toes are not a big concern because the focus is on the face. Even without your description, her emotion comes through. The pattern in the robe adds an interesting pattern. A great moment!!! Link to comment
mookx 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Hi Jaime. I know how that snap decision can chop of a vital part and seemingly ruin a perfect shot, but the capture of the expression etc. is so good it works really well with a crop just under her bottom, removing the offending feet altogether, or better still just under her elbow ... highlighting the face and the emotions she is feeling. Great capture really ... consider what you caught ... not what maybe missing. Cheers Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted January 30, 2009 I think my favorite thing about this image is how effectively you've captured the emotion of the moment. You could easily crop in tighter...at least a 1/3 more to mitigate your concerns regarding the feet and positioning. This would also in my opinion better emphasize the emotion and vulnerability of your daughter at this obviously emotional moment. Also I would recommend playing around a bit with the contrast...and maybe toning to add just a bit more pop. Otherwise I like this image and it reminds me of one of in my porfolio of my little one...feel free to stop in and take a look. Regards. Jeff. Link to comment
