Cradle Mountain Sunset

Sunset over Cradle Mountain and Dove lake in Tasmania

Wow,this is a nice landscape Brendan.I love the colors of the sunset.The foreground rocks are a very nice anchor for my eye.I dont see any way how you could've improved this image,compositionaly or technically.Very nice!

It is a beautiful mountain setting and wonderful colors.the conoisition idea of the ring to the mountain is very good either. At the same time I think it is an issue here. The rocks in the foreground are too bright, especially with respect to the more interesting mountains in the background. It also do not show any interesting aspect to keep my ey staying at the bottom, it just ignore the bottom part. In this case I would dofge and burn areas.

 

It would also be interesting to seeother compositions you have taken.

i agree with Lalit's thoughts. the tones and colors (or processing) of foreground and background look very different to me.

i like very much the lines and the composition, very nice scenery and colours too.
