robwilson 0 Posted January 27, 2009 Thank you very much for your kind words guys. This picture took quite a lot of processing work because of light conditions that were nearly impossible for 'regular' photography. The difference in light between the fingers and the head was something like 6 f-stops, and there were variations of light and shadow all over the place. I had to work this image using Photomatics Pro 3. Without HDR, I wouldn't have had any image to display. Even after processing, the sky is still completely burnt out. I just hope I've done this magnificent temple faint justice. Cheers Rob Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted January 28, 2009 You did a great job on the light Rob. It is obviously a difficult exposure to make. The angle and composition really make this a great image. Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted January 28, 2009 Under such difficlult lighting condition, your did a very good processing work. I also like your angle to enhance the 'gigantic' feel of the Budhha. Link to comment
pyndt 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Hi Rob, Great work, interesting angle and nice contrast on the fingers and the gold leaf covered nails.I photographed the same temple on slides in 1992 - way before digital processing was possible- so I know the troubles you faced. I never got a good shot which included the face and sky. However I have one showing the beautiful hand. I can see the temple has been restored since I was there.Regards Henrik Link to comment
