To my eyes at least, this version looks `better' in the sense that the two `support' elements at left-center and bottom-right are contiguous and provide a supporting anchor for the rest of the composition.

A complex image like this is difficult to `finish' due to the many interacting elements. This image relies on echoed angles and shapes for balance and visual focus. Only the key pieces need to maintain symmetry for the rest to fall in place.

This looks GREAT! It belongs on a gallery wall.
