Whenever I see attempts at a B&W conversion of this kind I'm not always impressed, however when I see it done well, as I see it here, I can't help but admire the skill in it's initial capture. well done Marie, you have done this well

Art is right, you did not only well but great. It's all about bringing the atmosphere across and that you did. Brassai once did a series on nighttime Paris. This reminds me of his impressive series.
