blue-olympus 0 Posted January 22, 2009 Super panoramic sunset shot and what a viewpoint. The DOF really helps bring out the beauty...it seems all the skyscrapers are competing with the mountain....but no contest.....Regards Link to comment
pfranklin 0 Posted January 22, 2009 Seattle with Mount Rainier Sunset. Finally a clear day! This was an amazing sunset and I was lucky enough to capture this photo. Larger view is better. All comments are appreciated, thank you so much for your time. Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 421 Posted January 26, 2009 Yes, it is better to see it larger! Horizontal layout, especially panoramic are not well shown in the standard size! PDE Link to comment
terrygilroy 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Excellent, someone at our camera club (Dumfries, Scotland) produced a sunset featuring the Tower between 2 tall buildings but put in a sunset from elsewhere, it did rather well but in my opinion is was totally horrible. This shot is great. Very well composed and the colours are superb although I might have been tempted to dispose of the 3 white blobs (middle bottom) and the highlight to the left of them. 7-7 Link to comment
pfranklin 0 Posted January 28, 2009 Alex, William, Sonali, Pierre, Neculae and Terry Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate that you can look past the fact that pano’s do not show well in this format! It really was a beautiful night (cold) the sunset was filled with amazing color and to see Rainier in the background was a real treat, not the norm. Terry, Those white blobs are part of Seattle Center, I left them in…wishing that it showed larger as it does before downsizing to pdn. There are not many places if one doesn’t live in this area to capture this view (maybe in a plane or helicopter). There were many cameras and tripods out this night! By the way the tower is the Space Needle from the 1962 Worlds Fair. Again many thanks, Pamela Link to comment

jtipton 0 Posted April 26, 2009 Thanks for the comment. This is a spectacular shot. On a rare clear day, I can't imagine a prettier city. You did her justice and caught her essence. All my best-Jim Link to comment
sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted June 14, 2009 Another fantastic pano, Pamela. There isn't much that I could say that hasn't already been covered so I'll leave it at "this is perfect". On a side note, it's interesting to see Mt. Baker from a different angle. Looks more like it did when I lived on Whidbey Island. Amazing what a couple hundred miles can do. Link to comment
