jmarcraveau 0 Posted January 21, 2009 Your B&W processing gives a dramatic mood to the subject. The smoke darkening the sky is really impressive. Beautiful image. Regards, Jean-Marc Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted January 21, 2009 This is the Berndt & Hilla Becher type shot you were referring to when commenting on my photograph. You've given this monster a life and personality! The tones are just fantastic, I love it............ Link to comment
yannik_hay 1 Posted January 21, 2009 Hello Simon, a very nice and stark industrial architecture, if we can say nice and stark in the same sentance :) I like industrial photos as you must have seen in my portfolio. They have great forms to captured. And you did it very well and the black smoke add drame to the polluted planet. Well done with the diagonal of the fence and the building captured in another diagonal. Making a V on the side. Nice tones as well. Greetz! Link to comment
paulbelford 0 Posted January 21, 2009 This is a powerful and emotional shot. It looks like quite a long exposure. I would have framed it differently myself, perhaps including more of the surrounding rural landscape as a contrast, but I think the diagonal of the fence leading into the photo is great. david creed 0 Posted January 23, 2009 A gripping image that has jumped out at me. Plenty of drama and hard lines pushing against a soft cloudy sky. Great use of contrast, and excellent black and white image. Cheers, David Creed Link to comment
melloncollie 0 Posted January 25, 2009 this is definitely a great photo, but you could try this one at night, when illuminated with spotlights.well done! Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted January 28, 2009 The function of the plant definitely gives it an impressive gradation from powdery white to sooty black. Inspiring and motivating stuff! Link to comment
kurt2006 0 Posted March 18, 2009 Simon, I love shots like this. There is a great deal of energy and the sense of danger gives me an adrenaline jolt, also, as I feel myself hopping the fence. Well done. Link to comment
