jim oker 0 Posted November 7, 2002 I can feel the chill in my bones when I look at this photo. I can also feel the quiet of the park in the off-season. I mostly love the tones in the photo, but find myself wishing the upper middle portion of the sky were a bit darker - it is blown out enough to be just a bit distracting to me. Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted November 7, 2002 Thanks for your comment, Jim. Let me know if this dodged/burned version looks better: Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted November 7, 2002 If you are as bothered by the bright spot on the top of the image as Jim Oker, check out the dodged/burned copy of the same image here.If you liked this image I would appreciate your comments on the rest of the photos in my Scenics folder. If you are not too much into the landscapes of mine :), you may like my "Portraits of family and friends" better. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted November 7, 2002 This is really nice: composition, dof, motion are great. I prefer the burned version to this one. Good work! Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted November 10, 2002 Good composition. I would like to have seen the details in the highlights. Link to comment
marrio 0 Posted November 10, 2002 Hi Ilia, just like your POW this photo feels warm to me and not cold. I'm given the sense of freshly fallen snow on the ground and trees. But as I look closer, I have to admit that they are leaves. What a nice illusion of B&W! I have yet to expose that roll of Teckpan that a friend of mine gave me... Link to comment
