Life In The Freezer

ian cameron

For three days running the temperature around the Highlands of Scotland dipped to around minus sixteen degrees celcius. Loch A Chroisg is notorious for collecting mist which in the right conditions turns to freezing fog accelerating the deposit of frost on every branch twig and blade of grass. I can honestly say I have never seen such extraordinarily beautiful conditions the depth of frost was over two inches. It actually formed on my camera bag and camera while I watched. This tree shows some indication of the frost and the misty atmosphere where the background slope is gently lit by direct sunlight.NEW!! Three successive days of extreme low temperatures and freezing fog

saw each tree, twig and blade of grass coated in hoar frost to a depth of

two inches. Twas remarkable.

This one is full of frosty winter mood and the softly illuminated trees in the back are great addition, very unusual, they look like from a completely different world. I love it!
