alexkropp 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Great Capture! Fantastic light and very sharp. Nice detail in the black feathers along the neck. I would not have cropped this image so tightly, especially on the left side, to give the bird some room in front of it to fly into. Thanks for sharing. Alex Link to comment
wedeko 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Pretty nice flight shot with fine details, good use some more space maybe... Link to comment

martin_ellis1 0 Posted January 18, 2009 I didn't have any space to the left of the bird. I would have liked more. I have seen good shots of birds in flight with part of the raptor cropped out. Any time you create more space around the bird, it makes the bird smaller. So, the large detailed wing you see here would be less impressive if there was more space for the bird to fly into. That's my story! Link to comment
dzaebst 0 Posted October 28, 2010 Martin, Great capture! If you have Photoshop CS4 or later, you can add content aware canvas to expand the space to any side of an image. This will allow you to add "head space" for example, and it will be mostly invisible. Check out the following:http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?24446-CS4-Content-Aware-Scale-to-Add-CanvasDennis Zaebst Link to comment
