gordonjb 10,860 Posted February 4, 2009 The fall off of the focus is perfect. The transition from the foreground rose to the background elements is handle with grace and subtletey. I love how the two merge to create a single broad stroke through the frame. Wonderful conception carried out with your usual high standard of execution. I am not usually a fan of added textural layers but in this case it is handle so well it makes me rethink my prejudice. Link to comment
danbliss 0 Posted February 5, 2009 As always Gordon, thank you for your kind words. I know what you mean about the textural layers. I am not big on them either, but I thought it worked here. I hope I wasn't too heavy handed with it. I took several dozen photos of the flower and vase over two nights. I played with the lighting, the focus and geometries. In the end, this is the one I liked. I am really glad it worked for you too. Thanks again. Dan Link to comment
