davidclapp 0 Posted January 11, 2009 Look what I was doing whilst you were fast asleep? A simply beautiful night on Dartmoor, frosty and still, this is around 1am. It was so cold I even got frost on my tripod ater about 10mins. This is an abandoned farm house in a more remote part of the moor, two shots combined for focus bracketing, enabling a greater depth of field at f4 by blending two images. Each was converted with seperate white balances to keep the colours true..:-) Link to comment

colingrace 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Wonderful composition and excellent exposure but it's those stars that give this image that certain extra "sparkle". ;-) This isn't Ditsworthy Warren by any chance is it David? I often wonder if I would ever bump into you on the moors but at this time of night I have no chance, so you're pretty safe. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 16, 2009 I can almost feel the cold. I guess the muted colors contribute to this. It reminds me of one cold February night when I spent a few hours shooting star trails with a friend of mine. The images we got were rewarding, though. Peter Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted January 18, 2009 "No pain no gain"...You certainlly went to a lot of trouble to get this shot, and it looks like you have triumphed. A fascinating study, lovely hues, great subject and viewpoint. May I wish you every success in the New Year and thanks for showing us the results of your endevours on Photo.Net....Kind Regards Link to comment
