laura2 0 Posted January 8, 2009 A little background -- I went to look at a Labrador and came home with two. These are purebred Black Labradors -- a 1 year old brother and sister that were abandoned as puppies on the side of a Texas highway. Left for dead, they were riddled with parasites, starving, scared of people, and returning to their feral state. With the help of animal control, a loving foster family, and the local humane society, these creatures were adopted to me with an incredibly new outlook on life. They are extremely attached to one another, and when I thought about taking one, the other one flipped out really badly. They truly are inseperable, and they are incredibly sweet, loving, happy animals. They "parent" my two small dogs and are wonderful guard dogs. The male grew to be 105 pounds, and the female is a dainty 70 pounds. Her eyes, as you can see in this picture, are incredibly soulful. I adore them. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 9, 2009 Gorgeous! Incredibly touching story too. I am so happy you decided to adopt both of them, and I believe that they will be forever grateful to you too! Link to comment
