Wave Clouds and Long's Peak

A case of being in the right place at the right time and making the most of it!! Great picture - I like it!

I knew the scene had way too much contrast, but as Chris S. said I was in the right place, but it was the wrong time and the wrong film ! I was 400 yds. from my camera bag on a steep hill and the light was changing too fast so I took what I could get. (Actually the foreground is a little darker than the original as I did some curve adjustments to highlight the texture in the clouds.)

Very nice capture! Lenticular clouds can remain in place for long periods, but it is always best to grab a first shot...

I would have really liked if the pine on the left was less intrusive... But after reading your story about the photo, I think is good if we can see it as is.

Hi, I think you made a great shot.

Try to get rid of the darkness in the foreground and cut it out with a photosoftware.

If you would then light your pictue a little bit it is worth selling.
