Alaia

This was a candid at a neighborhood Halloween party. I originally

intended an untilted horizontal composition, but couldn't get close

enough to frame it in-camera; while cropping it later, I decided that

my original intention was too static (due to strong horizontals of

sunlit grass and verticals of her limbs) and that a tilt would help

add to the dizzy feeling of the pose. Does it work for you?

Thanks. I think it may be leopard rather than cheetah, at least judging by the cheetah at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, but I didn't take the chance to ask Alaia what she thought she was being. Re Santa Monica, I didn't know, but now I do...hi, neighbor.

Striking pose indeed, and great expression. The garment also adds to the atmosphere. The only thing I do not like is the highlight on the right side of the head.
