javier_soto2 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Magnifica, ese amarillo dorado llama poderosamente la atencion, y el arco iris te ha salido magistral. Muchas felicidades Link to comment
suresh randadath 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Oh this is so wonderful! The colour contrast between the browns and the golds is stunning. More than anything else, it is the symmetry of the image with the rainbow well balanced in the frame and the golden part right at the center. This is an amazing shot!!! Link to comment

dallalb 0 Posted January 8, 2009 Every time you post a new photo I'm amazed by the perfection of your technique and your skill to be in the right place at the right time. Your landscapes are stunning themselves, but you are able to see them under wonderful light conditions. Congratulations, this is another masterpiece. Kind regards, Alberto. Link to comment
martintxo 0 Posted January 8, 2009 You were indeed able to catch a very special moment, I hope you were able to enjoy it when you were taking the picture as much as me seeing it now. Congratulations and thank you for sharing it. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted January 10, 2009 A real Masterpiece Simon. I disagree with previous cropping suggestions. Cropping the foreground rocks would crowd the lake. I believe the angle of the lake creates a false horizon. It is easy to see that the lake is running towards the camera at a slight angle. Leveling the far side of the lake would tilt the entire scene to the right. Seeing something like this brings back memories of high school wind-sprints when you are running full out to get in position. It is simply the best exercise! Link to comment
newfocus 0 Posted January 10, 2009 You just can't plan shots like this. Full marks for being there when it happened and making such a fantastic job of it. I wouldn't crop either personally. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 11, 2009 I don't have anything more to add that has not already been said - "excellent"! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 11, 2009 I'm not in agreement with the crop suggestions. I like the diagonal/triangled lake vs. the mountains and rainbow, that function well as a horizon. The beauty imo is the nicely "unballanced" composition that has very nice "layers". The FG rocks are like a form "answer" to the mountains in the BG. The result of light, color palette ,and the composition as a whole was worth the efford Simon. It looks a natural primal beauty. Link to comment
dug1 0 Posted January 19, 2009 Can we go higher than 7/7? I can't say anymore than what's already been said. Regards, Dug Link to comment
