Still life with Pomegranate and Chinese bowls

I like to shot Still life composition and well as to paint them, I try to

inspire myself to the classic tradition of Still life Painters, this shot

combines two pomegranates (that I believe are very photogenic) and two

blue and white old chinese cups. I have found wonderful Still life

galleries here to prove that this not easy but challenging subject is still

valid and is able to inspire very talented photographers (that I love to

name....artists) Thanks for your comments

I agree we could use more still life arrangements. Fruit and bowls seem to be particularly popular combination among paintbrush artists. I have a little trouble seeing how these oriental bowls are balancing, but I guess they balance themselves with the fruit. Your frame does seem a little bit out of scale with the subject, but that is your choice. Please do more experimenting, as we need more still lifes, all of us should try them. Takes as much or more work than the so called " capture" studies and a feel for light too. I wish you well in 2009, Paola. Grazie for sharing... gs

Veo que tambien haces bodegones,y muy bien por cierto,me gusta la composicion tambien como juegas con las texturas y tonos de las granadas y bols chinos.Saludos.
