Leaping Squirrel II

This shot is essentially an action shot. Having the primary subject, the running squirrel, bisected by foreground clutter really detracts from the composition. If the squirrel were pausing to peek through the branches at the camera, then the foreground would very probably contribute to the picture.

This looks much better than the first version. The ugly, very thick branch at the top is gone, and my attention is as focused on the squirrel as it could possibly be. Given the tough composition, and the fact that you only had a fraction of a second to capture a hippity-hopping squirrel, I'd say you did all you could with this shot, both capture and post-capture. Nice!
