I much prefer this over the intial post. The blue color on the original seemed out of place and it was confusing (to me at least) as to whether or not I was looking at sky or water. With this crop, the continuity of the dunes isn't broken and I think this adds to the sense of depth.

I also would have possibly liked a little more foreground but I have to say that your choice of color for the frame/matting makes that much less of an issue.

I have to imagine this would look tremendous if it were enlarged. Well done.

Beautiful. A rather surreal look to it which I find very appealing. I agree with many others that this looks better than the original.

This is an incredibly beautiful desert scene; I have a soft spot for well-done desert photos with palm trees in them.

What an ethereal image. The velvety texture of the sand and the rich color really do it for me. I'm not sure I like the matching matte color, though. Excellent.

Beautiful. One of the nicest desert scenes I have seen. I love the subtle colours. I, too, would prefer to see another colour used for the mat, perhaps one of the darker brown tones, or even the very subtle dark green of the palm trees, but I can see why you would have chosen to match the sand tones -- it makes the desert seem to continue beyond the frame.

I have already seen this pic on Psig Fred, and really this is a masterpiece. To be honnest, where I find your bird a bit "soft" I think this one is really close to perfect.
