Anyone have any thoughts? I think that the pier might be in the image to much.

I like the T that's formed when the pier branches out. The birds give a nice sense of horizontal movement which works well with the vertical lines of the pier. I think the image would be even stronger if, as you say, you cropped a couple of inches from the bottom of the image. Good shot overall!
