markskelly 0 Posted October 30, 2002 I shot this on a gorgeous day in June. I was using an old Seagull 4-1B shutterbox camera that I had bought from a friend. The exposure, on Fuji 50 ISO, 120 size, was f8 @ 1/125. I rated the film at 40 ISO on some recommendations I had read that it helped cut the saturation a bit. I scanned the chrome on an Epson 1680 flatbed and went to work in photoshop. All in all, I really only had minor selective color adjustments. I'm very pleased with the results. Any ratings, or better yet, comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment
kurt_johansen 0 Posted October 30, 2002 Nice shot, it could use a little more of a foreground subject. When shooting in red rocks it seems simplicity is the key to getting good photos. On a side note it's Red Rock National Conservation Area (run by the BLM) not a National Park. Link to comment
melissa_eiselein 0 Posted October 31, 2002 Very nice. I like the way you've cradled the red rock between the brown rock and blue sky and the way you've captured the texture of each. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted April 13, 2003 I like the light and colors of this image, and I like the simple 1-main-line composition. It could use a little more crisp with a bit stronger USM maybe, and I wish there would be just a bit more at the bottom of the image to "anchor" the composition. Still, good work, and one of the best shots in this folder imo. Thanks for stopping by on my pages today and a few other times before. Sory for the delayed reply. Best regards. Link to comment
