fred_j._lord 0 Posted November 2, 2002 Wayne: This is very nice. Obviously the old Kansas wind was blowing. The composition is lovely. The colors and values are sweet. What's the small light on the left horizon? I think it adds something so don't spot it out! Altogether, it's a very, very nice image. Link to comment
stephen_lau1 0 Posted November 2, 2002 Yes, the composition and color are very nice. Good shot! I can't see anything to change. My only nit is that there may be too much sharpening as I can see the halo around the windmill. Link to comment
alex marsaud 0 Posted November 3, 2002 Lovely peaceful picture. Well grounded, nice pastel tones. What about having the windmill in the far right of the shot? I think it would be a nice framing, balancing the left clouds. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted November 3, 2002 A classy, classic image. For me it has what I refer to as AHHHHHH appeal... that is to say; a shot that makes you want to say.. ahhh... nice one! Link to comment
michael_ward1 0 Posted November 3, 2002 I just noticed - when I scroll this picture up and down on my monitor, the blades seem to turn. Hah! This is just a superb picture. Except for the USM halo mentioned by Stephen, I can't think of a thing I'd change. And that's pretty easy to fix. Wayne, those clouds had to have been pink or orange sometime before or after this shot. Did you get those and just decide these were better? If so, good call. Link to comment
peterneibert 0 Posted November 3, 2002 Wayne, This is an excellent picture that most of us would be pleased to claim as our own. Nonetheless, it's been bitten by a couple of unseemly, low ratings. If you care about such things, it might be appropriate in this instance to e-mail the parties directly and ask them to reconsider their ratings in the light of comments submitted here, or otherwise to justify what they've done.
