Wayne Melia 6,094 Posted December 14, 2008 Nicely done. Makes me reach to protect the tip of my ear. Interesting paradox of the tree branches and leaves being blown in opposite direction to lean of trunk; and then the building, although collapsing, is not leaning. I like it when an image has staying power. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,753 Posted December 14, 2008 Thanks Wayne, this was actually a scene of opposites as you point out. couldn't help but notice this one as I was driving past. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted December 22, 2008 Wonderful image of which the barn and the tree are the stars. B-r-r-r - it must be cold. Here in Montreal we just got dumped on with lots of snow ensuring a white Christmas. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted December 26, 2008 Yep, you got yourself another keeper here. Beautiful. Link to comment

amitai schwartz 0 Posted December 30, 2008 Great photo: bleak landscape. I'm surprised either the tree or barn are still there. Nice capture. Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted December 30, 2008 If I'd known that the D70 could take pictures this good, I would have held on to mine! Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,753 Posted December 30, 2008 I shot several frames of this scene with a 35mm, a mediun format, & the D70. This was the best of them all. I figured you left a little of your magic in it. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,753 Posted December 30, 2008 Thanks for that comment. It was that kind of a day. The wind was whipping, the road was solid ice, but I had the day off. Link to comment
brano_k 0 Posted August 29, 2010 Very nice contrast between all slanted and jagged lines vs. horizon line. The tree trunk is parallel to the roof line. Everything is so just right with this photo. With no intention to stick my nose, did you wait until you get this pefect dusting of snow or it just happened that you clicked at that moment? Seemingly calm, but full of movement! Thank you for posting. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,753 Posted August 29, 2010 Thanks for that critique. This was a really miserable day. I had been past here days before, so when we got this snow, I thought it would be a good time to go out there. Thanks again for chiming in. Link to comment
