marc_dilley1 0 Posted March 23, 2010 The element that sets this apart from so many other sunset/peak/rocky foreground images is the killer green stuff on the fg rocks. I can't stop looking at it. It provides a rest for my eyes from all that intense red, then after a rest I can zip back up for another helping of the sunset. Totally cool. The hyper red highlights on the closest flat rocks almost look painted on. Tone them down a bit and you have perfection. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 23, 2010 Bella - I am hoping my thanks are better late than never. Best regards,Heider - sorry for my late response - thanks for your contribution.Marc - glad you like it and I will take you up on toning down that red. I don't want you zipping up and down the image - you might get dizzy and fall over the edge. "Lichen" it or not, the lichen (green stuff and powder blue stuff also) was all over this place and I wanted to photograph it until hell froze over but had to control myself. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted July 27, 2010 The sun spills liquidity onto the rocks, bringing a red gold into these mountains. The green cools the scene. It's lovely Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted July 27, 2010 Donna - thanks - was no sure if anyone was observing my portfolio samples. It was a special day for me with the sun rising on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park - Maine. Link to comment
