Guest Guest Posted December 7, 2008 Very interesting study of what appears to be the abstract aspect of nature. The textural play is very well accomplished and the compositional waves have a nice movement to them. The feather feels a bit forlorn grounded and partially buried as it is by the sands. I imagine it once lightly flying over this scene. Nice and soft color palette as well, making this one easy to watch and contemplate. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted December 9, 2008 Thanks Fred. I share much of your sentiment. My only wish with the image is that I would like it if the base of the feather wasn't so white/un-detailed. But, I can't get anything more out of the file. Sorry I've been so 'quiet' as of late -- busy days. I promise to be back more over/after Xmas. Link to comment

copeg 0 Posted December 11, 2008 I really, really like this. The feather definitely makes a statement, both in its presence as well as the impact it has on the surrounding sand ripples. It seems an understatement if I simply called this a strong image. Link to comment
