acjtucson 0 Posted December 7, 2008 I love Zion and the Southwest and have been in a lot of spots shooting in the shade towards something in sunlight. It looks to me that the foreground is flat and the background is too bright. I have taken a million of these and find it very frustrating. I am not sophisticated enough at Photoshop to isolate the different areas to work on well enough to resolve the problem. That being said, I am intrigued by the reflection in the water. I think I would have made that more of a focal point of the photo. Maybe going towards that tree... Link to comment
daverave 1 Posted December 24, 2008 I would agree that perhaps you are trying to include too much in this photo and there is plenty of material in the foreground that would have made a better photo. The sky is not that interesting and by including it you also have to have the too white cliff in the background which appears to have had some heavy PS work done to it to reduce glare. This photo for me is definitely an example of where less could have been more. Link to comment
