Very nice photo! It doesn't look like the boy is being punished to me. When I was a little girl, about her age, my parents took us to a village where these punishment contraptions were displayed in the courtyard. My parents took photographs of my sister and I in two of them. Thanks for the memories. Another one of my favorites.
