I like how you have brought together these two images, it is very clean looking and visually appealing. It really "works" for me. I usually don't find myself liking compositions like this too much, but yours is an exception. The only thing that bothers me is that I would like to see the branch in focus, maybe with a slightly deeper depth of field. This seems very original to me.. I love it.

Clever concept. I'm not sure I would have liked it if you described it to me, but it all comes together nicely.
