Streets of Calcutta

Please comment, is the dog dead? Why is she pulling?... The picture is a bit too dark & contrast, i like the left person who doesn't take care about the action. The picture is split in 2 parts (left/ right), i think the cars doesn't have to be there (exept if they kill the dog...) A square picture with the woman on right, "washing person" on left and the diagonal gutter could have a different feeling and be good.

very powerful image, brings into light the parts of the world not everyone sees.

Nice foto. Pretty tough too. The print is not the best i have seen. And its not very sharp.

I like your work a lot. Unlike most self-styled "street" photographers who make endless insipid images of shoppers and commuters walking around New York or London, your photos show a willingness to really get your hands dirty and reach out for the drama in human experience. Nice going.

It's certainly a strong image. I agree that the print, or scan could be better.

The above comment though is plain silly.

 

Seriously stunning photojournalism. Technically, could do with some work on the left. Crucially that doesn't take anything away from the impact of the image.

A slightly disturbing image. Very compelling.

Powerful image. It just draws you into the scene. Print/scan could be better... though newspaper quality isn't any better. First-class documentary work.
